There's Something About Angela

Hi my name is Angela. I have two beautiful and awesome children. Skye and Matthew. We have lived in Mississauga, Ontario for almost five years now. We were once Torontonians. I lived in the big city all my life, but since moving here, I prefer the suburbs.

In case you are wondering, I am not married. I lived in opposition to Christ for most of my life. I became a believer in the spring of 2000. I found myself in a position that I didn't want to be in and couldn't find the escape door. I became depressed. To me it felt like rock bottom but Jesus, the amazing Saviour, rescued me. He lifted me up and carried me away. I thank Him daily for being there even when I didn't want Him to be. He truly is the only way. Look to Him and you will see.

Career: I originally went to college for Law Enforcement, which I trained hard for. But in my last semester I realized that maybe I had made a mistake. It felt funny because for as long as I could remember I had wanted to be a police officer but here I was getting ready to be one and for the first time I wasn't excited, I wasn't satisfied. I needed something more. So, for a little while my career choice was in limbo. I tried different sorts of jobs and I did enjoy most of them. I really liked working in the restaurant industry and thought I had found my niche. That is, until about a year ago, where I felt that I was again in the wrong place and needed something more. God, came to my rescue in August of 2004 and showed me that His plan for my life was to be a counsellor. As of January 2005, I have been studying for my Bachelor's Degree in Christian Counselling. And it has been totally awesome.

Now, for the light things:

Song: Surrender, and How Great is Our God.

Colour: Blue.

Subject: Bible study. I know it isn't an official subject but it is what I find most fascinating. My second most favourite subject is History (which is funny because I hated it when I was in school and now I find it fascinating.

Food: Italian, Mexican, Chinese.

Drink: Water and Milk but not mixed together :).

Book: The Holy Bible

Hero: Jesus, who rescued me in my darkest moments and continues to be there for me.

Movie(s): Ever After, Love Actually, The Notebook, Rundown, Platoon, LOTR, Stand By Me. (I could go on forever but I'll stop. I love movies!)

Likes: Rain, walks in the park, laughing children, hugs, nature, lilies, the smell of fire burning, cookies in the oven and fresh cut grass, star gazing, canoeing, taking photos, etc..

I'd love to visit: Belize, Australia, Scotland, Greece, Jerusalem, Tuscany, Africa, Amazon, Japan, B.C., Alberta, Egypt, North American National Parks.

I think that is about it for now. Happy Reading!!!
